I bought this netbook, because it was small and easy to carry, and because it was Windows XP on it, and not a source of pork Vista. I also chosen for the 3 USB ports, which I liked because I live in an area that does not have broadband or Wifi ….. But I use a USB WiFi adapter for Verizon to connect to the Internet. I also use two USB ports for printer and my external USB DVD Reader / Writer.
The computer came with a small software to a 60-day trial version of Office 2007 for students. I have Office Professional 2003 on my HP Pavilion and I have the Acer, so both machines can be compatible with both single computer without connecting to the network together. I prefer that. In addition, I also prefer the version of Office Professional 2003. It 'came with McAfee virus protection, which I promptly removed and replaced with my package of Kaspersky Internet Security (prefer to have McAfee or Norton).
