Very happy with the machine. Had trouble on first start up but had good support from ASUS. Only complaint is that it is slow. I think I will upgrade to 2GB which should solve the problem.

I travel a lot and realized my Blackberry was not enough to do all the business I need to be doing online. This netbook is perfect! It received high ratings and I can see why. The keyboard is small, as to be expected, but I recently bought a mouse so it will make it easier to get around. I was in a hurry when setting it up and I accidently hit “German” for language. Not good as once you pick your language, you can’t change it. We had to call Asus and ended up having to reinstall everything. So, when you are setting up your computer, a word of advice. Take your time! Its all set up now and works great.

I was looking for a tablet computer that I could use to display my instrument approach plate (IAPs) when flying IFR. This device fit the bill! It is easy to use and does almost all the things I wanted it too with only a few exceptions. I can download my IAPs from the internet site I use ([...] - Thanks DOUG RANZ - If you use him, donate to him, Great Service). I can use FOXIT Reader to view these, finding the plate I need and then going Full Screen in tablet mode and BAM! I have it. Battery life is good and the 12 volt adapter is compatible with aircraft using a 12 volt system. I will use a 24V to 12V adapter for mine.

As the technology improves, you may notice laptop clamshells appear sleeker and thinner than ever before. Many are made available in standard colors like slate blue and silver, yet are still attractive and functional.

Of course, no two laptop users are the same, just as no two laptops are used for the same purpose.
