ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005PE-PU17-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook (Up to 14 Hours of Battery Life)
We bought this netbook before going on a trip to the UK. We wanted to be able to watch Amazon On Demand videos on the plane and on our train trips and also be able to check email, help plan our day to day itinerary and have a place to offload the days pictures from our cameras.

The question many people have today is whether it is worth the purchase of an Apple IPAD or go to a netbook, notebook or laptop computers as their equipment is. That is a choice worth much consideration, although the IPAD is sold very well at the moment. From my perspective, it seems that the loss would do to performance by the choice of the IPAD on a computer a real difference. Many people however, as the portability and the use of less functional IPAD ease. My use of theWords of less, the functional IPAD seem to make inferior, but it's really a question of how much you want from a computer equipment. I'll take my position to make comparisons by a few.

Sony VAIO VPC-W211AX/P 10-Inch Pink Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life Review

Sony VAIO VPC-W211AX/P 10-Inch Pink Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life
I bought this netbook for my wife and the two deciding factors were the high-resolution screen (1366×768) and its build quality. I checked out a lot of other netbooks and most have lower resolution screens and are built with too much plastic that makes them feel cheap. This Vaio is solid - it feels like a mini version of Apple’s classic 12″ Powerbook (without the heft). The screen is also fantastic in its brightness and clarity. It’s perfect for movie viewing, web browsing and even book reading. The clarity makes reading a Kindle book a breeze even though horizontal mode isn’t the ideal way to read an electronic book. The sound is excellent when using headphones but the built-in speakers are worthless, which seems to be typical of most notebook computers.

Sony VAIO VPC-W212AX/WI 10-Inch White Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life Review

Sony VAIO VPC-W212AX/WI 10-Inch White Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life
this is my 5th vaio. last week i had the 211 which unfortunately for me i got the defective wifi so had to send it back, spend extra i shouldn’t have to spend but amazon customer service is the best always! so i got this instead & i couldn’t be more happier. the size, the color (love the light green shade on the keyboard), the weight, and even the little brown bag that comes with it. it could’ve been perfect except for the large capacity battery. when it’s just sitting on my desk it doesn’t bother me but when i put it in my vaio case to take out, i really don’t like the bulging battery. i wish it is an option to buy a standard one & a large capacity. i don’t care much for the 8 hour battery life. this vaio reminds me of my TR except with the TR it has the cdrom. the windows starter i don’t mind much, will upgrade eventually. also the memory. however, i am going to get the standard battery asap if i could find one. sony website doesn’t have it anymore.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N330WH 10.1-Inch Frost White Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Toshiba Mini NB205-N330WH 10.1-Inch Frost White Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
I ordered a mini NB205 with atom N280 Intel processor. It has 250G hard drive, built in web camera, several USB2 slots, an SD slot for the digital camera card, a full size keyboard, runs Win 7 starter, and is black, for about 0. I have had it for 2 months, and have been traveling most of that time, though I had a week to set it up before we left. I am very satisfied with it, especially it portability and functionality. I don’t do graphics-intensive stuff. I do WiFi email, some web surfing, Office stuff, Skype, some Bible software, and save my pictures. The only thing I am not very satisfied with is the sound quality of Skype calls, but I expected that based on reviews I read before buying it. Probably I would be happy with a headset, but then my wife cannot join the conversation with grandchildren. I still have well over 200G of space on my HD. I charge it for an hour or so in the morning after I get up, and that is usually enough for use throughout the day. I have had not problems with it. I figured out how to load software from DVDs via my laptop which is part of my home network. I have not noticed any limitations with the OS; my other PCs run XP. I recommend it for anyone who has a similar use profile.

Asus Eee PC 1005HA-MU17-BU 10.1-Inch Intel Atom Netbook Computer (Royal Blue) Review

Asus Eee PC 1005HA-MU17-BU 10.1-Inch Intel Atom Netbook Computer (Royal Blue)
I travel a lot and realized my Blackberry was not enough to do all the business I need to be doing online. This netbook is perfect! It received high ratings and I can see why. The keyboard is small, as to be expected, but I recently bought a mouse so it will make it easier to get around. I was in a hurry when setting it up and I accidently hit “German” for language. Not good as once you pick your language, you can’t change it. We had to call Asus and ended up having to reinstall everything. So, when you are setting up your computer, a word of advice. Take your time! Its all set up now and works great.

Asus Eee PC T91SA-VU1X-BK 8.9-Inch Intel Atom Netbook Computer (Black) Review

Asus Eee PC T91SA-VU1X-BK 8.9-Inch Intel Atom Netbook Computer (Black)
I was looking for a tablet computer that I could use to display my instrument approach plate (IAPs) when flying IFR. This device fit the bill! It is easy to use and does almost all the things I wanted it too with only a few exceptions. I can download my IAPs from the internet site I use ([...] - Thanks DOUG RANZ - If you use him, donate to him, Great Service). I can use FOXIT Reader to view these, finding the plate I need and then going Full Screen in tablet mode and BAM! I have it. Battery life is good and the 12 volt adapter is compatible with aircraft using a 12 volt system. I will use a 24V to 12V adapter for mine.
