Acer AOD250-1383 10.1-Inch Ruby Red Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review
I have a 17inch HP computer, and although I really like it, it’s not convenient for travel, both for its size and short battery life. I am quite impressed with this little Acer netbook, it’s so much nicer than I expected. It starts up fast (I deleted some of the installed trial programs and the games). The battery life is said to be 8 hours, and I have not had a problem with it dying even after several hours, so I imagine that is a reasonable estimate. The touchpad is small but nicely responsive. The view is clear and sharp, and it comes with a webcam. Finally, the price is terrific! I am very pleased with this purchase.

In this video, I answer a question that phillymaniac14 want to know my thoughts on Windows XP performance vs. Windows 7 on my netbook performance. I own an HP Mini 1000, while my wife has an HP Mini Vivienne Tam Edition. Both are equipped with 2 GB of RAM, but my wife still has Windows XP Home and I have Windows 7 Beta. My tests are hardly scientific, but I have found that the extra memory will definitely help Windows 7 performance with full-screen Flash video. It looks like Windows 7Windows XP and full-screen Flash video performance seem to be identical. With lessar RAM, Windows XP performed better. There are many factors that is the comparison of particular OS with a beta OS like Windows 7 There are also flash software, browser versions and compatibility issues, the need to focus on Windows 7 may be adjusted. Toshiba Mini NB205-N330WH 10.1-Inch Frost White Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review
I ordered a mini NB205 with atom N280 Intel processor. It has 250G hard drive, built in web camera, several USB2 slots, an SD slot for the digital camera card, a full size keyboard, runs Win 7 starter, and is black, for about 0. I have had it for 2 months, and have been traveling most of that time, though I had a week to set it up before we left. I am very satisfied with it, especially it portability and functionality. I don’t do graphics-intensive stuff. I do WiFi email, some web surfing, Office stuff, Skype, some Bible software, and save my pictures. The only thing I am not very satisfied with is the sound quality of Skype calls, but I expected that based on reviews I read before buying it. Probably I would be happy with a headset, but then my wife cannot join the conversation with grandchildren. I still have well over 200G of space on my HD. I charge it for an hour or so in the morning after I get up, and that is usually enough for use throughout the day. I have had not problems with it. I figured out how to load software from DVDs via my laptop which is part of my home network. I have not noticed any limitations with the OS; my other PCs run XP. I recommend it for anyone who has a similar use profile.

Windows 7 is available. For most PC owners, it is a turning point after all the disappointments from Microsoft Vista and the burning questions will be asked by everyone: "Is it good?" I can definitely answer "Yes"

So, why would you swap your PC for an Apple Mac computer and the operating system Snow Leopard is better than Windows 7?

Sony VAIO VPC-W121AX/T 10.1-Inch Brown Netbook - Up to 7 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review
I am very satisfied with my W Series netbook. I was aware of the criticisms posted by some other reviewers. The netbook works fine for me. The profile photo on Amazon clearly shows the battery unlike some other sites. It doesn’t bother me at all. It tilts the netbook at a nice angle, and it keeps the netbook cooler. The fan is not that loud. The display is great! The high resolution images are superb. If you are far-sighted, you might want something else. I like the clarity of the images. The right shift key is small, but I have adjusted. The keyboard feels nice and I can type fairly rapidly. I bought it for reading email, surfing the web, and working on basic Office documents. It does all of these things well. There are cheaper products, but I like the Sony quality and reliability. I recommend this netbook.

ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005HA-MU17-BU 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 8.5 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review
I’ve not had this machine very long and it works just fine. My problem is with the in box support. Video out is via a 15 pin vga connector which is not included. There is not Win 7 manual and the machine manual is limited to a short “quick start” booklet. There’s no carrying case in the box which given the price seems kinda chintzy.
There is good internet support for the device.
I’d buy it again, but these are not so small disappointments.
